Following dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, delegates have a choice between a number of activities taking place.

See below for a preview and more information on some of the activities.

Tuesday Activity – Whiskies Around the World Information and Tasting Session

Learn about the basics of whiskey and the craftsmanship of some of the finest whiskey distilleries in the word. We will then pair food with each of several countries discussed.

Hear some interesting stories from the world of whiskey. Al Capone is considered to be one of America’s most notorious gangster, having overseen America’s largest bootlegging operation in Chicago during the Prohibition. Learn about underground smuggling and public enemy number 1: Al Capone.

Pre-registration is required. Don’t delay in getting your tickets for this session as we only have a limited number available. Cost is $25 plus tax. Tickets are also available onsite at the Registration Desk until 3:30 PM Tuesday November 19th. There is limited space so get your tickets early!

Tuesday Activity – Creative Workshop: Macramé Plant Hanger

Learn a combination of macramé knots to create a beautiful macramé plant hanger in this beginner workshop. The Macramé Kit and a mini clay pot are included.

Pre-registration is required. Cost is $25 plus tax. Tickets are also available onsite at the Registration Desk until 3:30 PM Tuesday November 19th. Limited number of participants, so reserve your spot today.

Tuesday Activity – Jungle Quest Team Mini-Golf Tournament

Meet at Hole 1 of the Jungle Quest Mini Golf course located beside the health and fitness centre registration desk.

Journey through our action-packed 18 hole, par 36, Jungle Quest mini-putt adventure. As you navigate along a winding fun-filled jungle expedition you will encounter treacherous lush terrain, as well as native wildlife hiding around every corner.

Players will be organized into teams of four – either come as a team or we can place you in a foursome when you arrive at the course. All players must complete the course or the entire team will forfeit. As per standard golf rules, the team with the lowest combined score wins.

Tuesday Activity – The Latornell After Party (The LAP!)

Networking and late-night socializing at the LAP!  You will find the Starlite Lounge tucked away on the 3rd floor, from the main floor past the gift shop (through the registration area) and up the stairs. On Tuesday and Wednesday evening, make your way over to the LAP for music, board games and cards. The bar will be open until 1:00 AM for your fun and amusement. See you at The LAP!

Wednesday Activity – Latornell Networking Event, sponsored by AECOM

Looking to catch up with friends and unwind after an eventful day at Latornell? Then join us at the AECOM Evening Lounge in Room 41 for snacks, refreshments and live music, courtesy of the AECOM House Band! Complimentary beverage and raffle tickets will be given to the first 50 attendees, and at 11:00 an exciting prize draw will be held! No reservations necessary – we look forward to having you join us!

Wednesday Activity – Film Night with Jen Podemski: A Screening of an Episode from Future History Followed by a Q&A

Join us as we watch an episode of the Groundbreaking Indigenous Docu-Series Future History with Canadian Producer and Actress Jennifer Podemski and co-host Kris Nahrgang, followed by a Q&A.

Now in its second season, Future History returns to explore stories of Indigenous communities. It shares the stories of Indigenous communities in Canada who are leading the reclamation movement. The storytellers delve deep to share differing Indigenous perspectives and open the conversation to provoke dialogue and debate.
