“I had an excellent time at the Latornell Conference - the three days were filled with interesting plenaries, engaging sessions, and social events. This was the first conference I have attended where it felt easy to meet and network with individuals from all types of conservation organizations. It was invaluable for me as a young professional to see all the things that were happening across Ontario in the conservation field.” Andrea Hicks, Community Stream Stewardship Program

This year 30 grants are available to students and individuals affiliated with conservation organizations to attend the popular A.D. Latornell Conservation Symposium – the deadline to apply is Friday September 10, 2010. The grant is geared to active members of the conservationist community who do not have the means to attend and provides a three day registration package including meals, attendance at all the sessions and participation in an exclusive grant recipient networking session. Accommodation is also included in the grant. Information and an application form can be found on the Latornell website at www.latornell.ca/grant.html.
