Thought your Latornell registration was complete? You thought wrong!
November 17-19, 2015 at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort & Convention Centre, Alliston, ON
There’s still a few exciting last-minute things you can sign up for…
Three brand new opportunities are being offered at the 2015 Symposium! We have a Scotch Nosing as one of our ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ activities with limited spaces (reserve now), we are celebrating our Climate Change theme by hosting a mini extreme weather photo contest, and we are offering a select number of sessions via webcast for members of our community who aren’t able to attend the Symposium in person. More info on all three of these exciting opportunities is below.
Have you always wanted to participate in a Scotch Nosing? Here’s your chance!
Do you want to learn more, know more, experience more about whisky? Whether you’re a whisky novice or a seasoned enthusiast, our new Whisky Tasting at the Latornell Conservation Symposium is for you! The Whisky Tasting will be held in the Starlite Lounge beginning at 8:30 PM on Tuesday November 17th.
There are few things more enjoyable than tasting great Scotch whiskies because they have such a wide diversity of flavours. Comparing and contrasting whiskeys is also a great way to learn more about them. LCBO Scotch Connoisseur Stuart Alford will be guiding 40 participants through a proper sampling of 6 scotch whiskies. There is a cost of $30 and participants are required to pre-register for this event.
You can pre-register online now. On-site registration can be found at the Symposium Registration Desk up to 4 PM Tuesday November 17th.
Send us your best ‘Weather Gone Wild’ photos for a chance to win!
Do you have an awesome photo that captures an extreme weather event? Submit your photo online from now until noon, November 13 for a chance to see your picture featured on the big screen at this year’s Latornell Conservation Symposium and win a $25 Henry’s Gift Card!
NEW for 2015: Join us via webcast for a handful of sessions!
Are you missing Latornell this year? Maybe you’re attending, but you have coworkers back at the office who aren’t coming? There’s a chance to see part of the Symposium through a live webcast!
This year, the Symposium and EcoHealth Ontario are hosting five sessions on the Symposium program exploring human-ecology connections. In addition to being offered at the Nottawasaga Inn, we will also be providing access to them via a live online feed for people who aren’t able to attend in person.
Sessions are being offered free of charge, and interested participants must register for each session separately.
