2025 Message from the Chair & Call for Abstracts
Dear colleagues and partners,
It is with great excitement and anticipation that I announce the 2025 Latornell Conservation Symposium.
I am thrilled to invite you to the 30th Annual Latornell Conservation Symposium, hosted by Conservation Ontario and the University of Guelph, on November 3-4, 2025, at the Paramount Eventspace in Woodbridge, Ontario. This year’s theme, “Celebrating 30 Years of Conservation Impact,” marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to protect and restore Ontario’s environment.
For three decades, Latornell has been a cornerstone event for professionals, researchers, and policymakers dedicated to advancing conservation in Ontario. As we reflect on our achievements, we will celebrate the transformative projects, policies, and partnerships that have contributed to our success. Most importantly, we will focus on how to continue addressing today’s pressing environmental challenges with bold actions that foster resilience and sustainability.
This symposium will offer inspiring keynotes, sessions, and workshops, along with ample networking opportunities, a student poster competition, and an exhibitor hall.
We invite you to join the conversation by submitting abstracts for presentations, workshops, or student posters. The submission deadline is Friday, May 2, 2025.
Join us for this milestone event as we celebrate the past and look to the future of conservation in Ontario. Together, we can make an even greater impact.
