Exhibit: Great Lakes Fishery Commission X Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (Sea Lamprey Monitoring)

Monday, November 3 - Tuesday, November 4, 2025 (All Day)

Don’t miss the Great Lakes Fishery Commission’s (GLFC) booth at this year’s Latornell! Stop by and chat and with their staff, see live sea lamprey, and learn about the GLFC’s work to protect the Great Lakes fishery. While you’re there, be sure to check out their partners at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) who will be set up next to the GLFC. TRCA is a critical partner in the GLFC’s monitoring and management of sea lampreys and are just one example of the many binational partnerships the GLFC use to protect our shared Great Lakes.

About the Great Lakes Fishery Commission
The Great Lakes Fishery Commission is an international organization established by Canada and the United States through the 1954 Convention on Great Lakes Fisheries. The Commission has the responsibility to support fisheries research, control the invasive sea lamprey in the Great Lakes, and facilitate implementation of A Joint Strategic Plan for Management of Great Lakes Fisheries (JSP), a non-binding, consensus-based provincial, state, and Indigenous fisheries management agreement.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority

We’re excited to be at Latornell this year to showcase our aquatic monitoring and management work. We will be situated next to one of our key partners, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, as we highlight how TRCA supports their efforts in monitoring and managing invasive Sea Lamprey across the Great Lakes. Visit our booth to learn how we’re monitoring aquatic ecosystems and supporting healthy, resilient watersheds.

About the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority
Since 1957, the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) as enabled through the provincial Conservation Authorities Act has taken action to enhance our region’s natural environment and protect our land, water, and communities from the impacts of flooding and increasingly extreme weather events – Ontario’s leading cause of public emergencies. As the region’s first line of defence against natural hazards, TRCA maintains vital infrastructure and provides programs and services that promote public health and safety, protecting people and property. TRCA mobilizes a science-based approach to provide sound policy advice, leveraging its position as a not-for-profit operating in the broader public sector to achieve collective impacts within our communities and across all levels of government.
