2026 Latornell Conservation Symposium Grants

Established in memory of A.D. Latornell, the Latornell Conservation Symposium Grant provides financial support to students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals, enabling them to attend the annual Symposium.

Committed to fostering inclusion and diversity, this grant also supports the participation of Indigenous, Black, and other underrepresented groups, recognizing that their voices are essential in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future. We encourage eligible individuals to apply to attend the Symposium.

Successful applicants will receive:

Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must submit a complete application form and a letter of reference.
  2. Applicants must state how the grant will enable them to participate in the Symposium and support their professional development and career goals.
  3. Successful applicants must commit to attending the Symposium. Grants are non-transferable.
  4. Successful applicants must return an evaluation following the Symposium.
  5. Grant applications will be assessed based on demonstrated financial need.
  6. The application deadline is Friday, August 21, 2026.
  7. Successful applicants will be notified by Friday, September 4, 2026.
